The Principle I Will Not Compromise

The Giancarlo Standard

Protect the Client. Not the Transaction.

There's always another home. There isn't another you.

What the Standard Means

What the Standard Means

There may be a lot invested in getting a real estate transaction to the finish line - time, effort, negotiations, expectations, money, and emotion.

None of that changes my responsibility to the client.

If something comes to light that could materially affect your decision, I am going to bring it to you. Even if it complicates the transaction. Even if it changes your mind. Even if it means we start again.

I will never protect the transaction at the expense of my client.

Time Already Spent Does Not Make a Bad Decision Better

Time Already Spent Does Not Make a Bad Decision Better

We may have spent weeks looking at homes. We may have negotiated hard. We may have invested hours researching a property. You may already be emotionally attached to the outcome.

That history cannot become a reason to ignore new information or force the wrong decision.

If the facts change, the advice has to be allowed to change too.

The Standard is not about killing deals. It is about making sure the deal never becomes more important than the person making it.
